    Happy Are Those
Happy isn’t a mood we associate with the season of Lent. Lent seems to call for something a little more somber, reflective, and inward looking. Certainly, the Lenten journey calls for attention to the inner self and the working of spiritual disciplines in the life of the individual and the community of faith.

    Listen To Him
Today, Pastor shares a message centered around the Church's celebration of the Transfiguration of our Lord. In his message, he challenges the congregation to consider how Transfiguration Sunday can act like a transition from the celebratory mood of the afterglow of Advent and the coming challenges of self-examination Christians practice during Lent.

    God Gives The Growth
Elders in The United Methodist Church submit to the itineracy system, moving from church to church throughout their ministry. Some argue that it is a system no longer sustainable in our culture that needs to be phased out. Perhaps, but one outcome of the system is a visceral understanding of the idea presented in I Corinthians 3 about servants together in fields of the Lord. Paul argues that our attachments are often to the wrong things: to a human pastor, to a position, to a building. No pastor works in a vacuum, but builds on ministry and mission that others directed long before arriving on the scene. And, that will continue long after the pastor departs. Sometimes, the key to overcoming short-term conflict is taking a longer view. And God’s viewpoint stretches into eternity. You don’t get much longer than that.

    With A Demonstration
Pastor David continues his sermon series from the first letter to the Corinthian Church. Paul instructs us that Jesus Christ should be the foundation of our witness, not our own talents and abilities.
