Missions Outreach: Becky made the motion to spend $1,500 of the $3,779 missions account funds to support the current “Family Emergency Kit” endeavor by World Vision to help US families suffering hardships from the Covid-19 fallout. The motion was seconded by Bill Kane and passed. In the motion also was to spend $1,500 to help locally. Kit agreed to follow up with local options to be shared later via email to the Ministry Table.

World Vision details – “Here in the US World Vision is working hand in hand with churches, school districts, and other local organizations to meet urgent needs. Our goal is to provide 650,000 people across the US with Family Emergency Kits and equip healthcare workers with critical personal protective equipment like face masks and gloves.” – worldvision.org/coronavirusUS

Wheeler Park Improvements: WUMC has raised just over $3,000 for improving the park located north of the old Wheeler High School, currently the 5th Street Club. Kit will contact George Topoll, Township Trustee for plan specifics. Steve made the motion, which was seconded by Marv, to give these funds to the Township Trustee once plans for the park are disclosed.

Transitioning (last Sunday in June and first Sunday in July): Pastor will be in Atwood on June 28, and Tara will be moving Sunday, July 5. Kit will reach out to Paul Arnold and possibly to Deb Rousselle for fill-in ministry leadership on those Sundays.

Church Cleaning/Parsonage Punch List: Deb and Jan’s Helping Hands (Hanna) have continued to clean the church and most recently have sanitized all surfaces in the sanctuary and Blaine Hall. We will reach out to them for parsonage cleaning as well so that Dave and Tara can move without that added burden. Steve and the Trustees will see that the back door and the outdoor faucet at the parsonage are repaired prior to June 26.

With no further business, the meeting adjourned. No date was set for the next meeting.

Respectfully submitted,

Linda Sopko’s grandson – Coby

Please keep Coby, Linda Sopko’s grandson who lives in California, in your prayers.  Coby has a surgery scheduled for June 1.  Pray for the doctors & health care professionals.  Pray also for Dan & Lisa, Coby’s parents, as I am sure they are worried.

Bud Stowers

Please pray for Bud Stowers as he is undergoing an MRI on his brain and head.  Bud has been suffering for the past two weeks with severe headaches.  The doctors want to make sure that there is nothing serious going on in his head like an aneurysm.  As long as the tests do not show anything requiring additional treatment, Bud & Linda are planning on going back to Michigan.

Lois Naillieux

Keep Lois Naillieux in your prayers.  She is having a difficult time.  Pray for her health and encouragement.
